Oxford

Oxford is full of literary history, most famously the ground known as the Inklings, composed by C.S. Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkien, among others, who met at The Eagle and Child (and later at The Lamb & Flag). Lewis Carroll taught a Magdalene College, and was inspired by the University’s gardens, Phillip Pullman set His Dark Materials in al alternate version of the city and there is even a related walking tour.
